Where is Santa’s White Mountain Adventure located?

 

The beautiful White Mountains of Arizona are host to Santa’s White Mountain Adventure in the winter wonderland of Pinetop-Lakeside.  The town is located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, home to the largest contiguous stand of Ponderosa Pines in the world.

Santa's Workshop will be located at the Town Hall, 325 West White Mountain Blvd in Lakeside, Az.

 

How far is the drive to Pinetop-Lakeside and Santa’s White Mountain Adventure?

 

Arizona & New Mexico Guests:  Depending on weather conditions, you should plan on a 3.5 to 4 hour* drive from Phoenix, around 4 hours* from Tucson and around 4 hours* from Albuquerque.

Las Vegas & Nevada Guests:  The drive is approximately 6 hours* from the Henderson and Las Vegas areas.

California Guests:  For our many guests who travel from the San Diego and Los Angeles areas, it takes about 8.5 to 9 hours*. 

Mexico Guests:  The drive time from the Mexico/Arizona border is approximately 4.5 to 5 hours*. 

International Guests:  All international flights will arrive at Sky Harbor International airport in Phoenix, Arizona.  Drive time from Sky Harbor to Pinetop-Lakeside is approximately 3.5 hours*.

How are the road conditions and will I need a 4-wheel drive vehicle?

 

PLEASE PLAN AHEAD!  We want our guests to safely arrive in Pinetop-Lakeside so they can enjoy their adventure.  Road conditions can vary by the weather conditions.  Pinetop-Lakeside is a winter resort town located at an elevation of 7,000 feet.  The Arizona Department of Transportation does a great job of keeping the highways clear, however, please check road conditions by dialing 511 or the National Weather Service before your departure.  Depending on winter driving conditions, front-wheel drive is usually adequate, but during snow conditions, four-wheel drive is recommended.

Please check the weather and potential snow conditions ahead of time and plan your trip accordingly to allow safe travels!  Due to potential snow conditions, please have appropriate winter apparel with you in your vehicle. National Weather Service 

 

Weather Conditions: Will there be snow?

 

Pinetop-Lakeside is located at 7,200-foot elevation so there is always the potential for snow.  Santa’s White Mountain Adventure will be a wonderful experience with or without snow even though Santa prefers snow.
